Since 1970 the Optimist Club of South Windsor has been a steady, cheerful presence in our neighbourhood — a group built on the simple idea that small acts of kindness and positive leadership can change lives. Over five decades we’ve focused on supporting young people, encouraging good citizenship, and bringing neighbours together through hands-on service and community events. As part of Optimist International, we are a long-standing community pillar that focuses on positive leadership.

Remembered fondly and pictured above on microphone, Harold Paquette, one of our club's founding members.

Founded June 18, 1970 — started by local volunteers who wanted a community-focused service club dedicated to youth and optimism.

Youth programs — decades of youth scholarships, essay & oratorical contests, and support for local sports and recreation programs.

Community events — pancake breakfasts, seasonal food drives, park cleanups, and family-friendly fundraisers that brought neighbours together.

Partnerships — long-standing cooperation with schools, churches, and other local non-profits to multiply our impact across Windsor

Known for our dedication to "Bringing Out The Best In Kids"
